We are gutted to announce that we have decided not to hold our wonderful bonfire and fireworks event in 2020. It was a difficult decision, but there were too many risks and uncertainties, and we wanted to prioritise the safety of everyone at the event – volunteers and visitors.
As the event is run entirely by volunteers and it attracts a large crowd of people, we needed to be sensible and this year is just not the year for it.
We plan to be back in the future, so please keep your eyes peeled on our website and facebook page.
We wish you all well, and look forward to seeing you at some point in the future.
The Barnt Green Bonfire and Fireworks Committee.
We are so excited – less than a week to go.
Remember on the night, the event is on a field, which can be uneven and muddy, so we recommend wearing sturdy footwear. It is also worth bringing a torch.
There is plenty to eat and drink on site, so please do not bring your own alcohol onto the site.
There are strictly NO SPARKLER at the event please – our insurance doesn’t allow them, and with so many people around it is too busy to be safe, so please leave them at home.
Final countdown now, so we look forward to seeing you all there…
We are back!
Bigger and better. This year’s event is on the 9th November, and it is shaping up to be a good one. We have a two firework displays – a quieter one for kids, and then the main display (with more fireworks than ever), as we all a MASSIVE bonfire (honestly I think this one is going to be the biggest yet…!), plus we have Age of Penda with a pirate themed sword and axe show, bar, food, huge inflatables and kids entertainment galore.
It’s going to be great. Tickets info is here, so get them while they are hot.
Ticket sales are only online until Wed 31st at Midday.
After this you can still get them in advance at the Barnt Green Post Office, Gin and Pickles in Alvechurch and Blackwell Village Stores.
You can buy on the door, but they are cheaper in advance. 🙂
We are pleased to say that advance online ticket sales are now open. Go to our Buy Tickets section for details.
In person sales will start really soon, or you can buy on the gate (but it’s a better deal to get them in advance 🙂 )
